I recently stayed at Hotel Tucson City Center and had a mixed experience. The newly renovated rooms were nice, and the location was convenient. Unfortunately, the unkempt grounds and limited service made my stay less enjoyable. Overall, this hotel has potential, but they need to step up their game.

Rooms
6.0
My room was renovated and clean, which I appreciated. The sliding bathroom door was a bit awkward though, not giving much privacy.
Service
5.0
While Makinzie at the bar was fantastic and super helpful, other staff seemed worn out and not very attentive.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located just 10 minutes from the hospital, which was perfect for my wife's appointment. However, it's close to a rough area that made me feel uneasy at times.
Dining
5.0
I didn't have a chance to fully explore the dining options, but breakfast was acceptable. The setup seemed a bit off though.
Facilities
5.0
The renovations are nice, but the overall maintenance needs improvement. The pool was closed for events without notice, which was frustrating.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Tucson City Center. The location was super convenient being close to the freeway, but the hotel itself felt a bit outdated and in need of maintenance. The room I had was clean, and the staff were extremely friendly, which helped a lot. However, I noticed a few issues with the facilities and cleanliness that could use some attention.

Rooms

My room was clean and had a nice bed, but it definitely showing wear and needed some updating. I also had a minor issue with the shower not working properly which was annoying.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making the check-in and dining experiences pleasant. They really seemed to care about making my stay better.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located close to the highway and downtown, which made it easy to get around, but it did feel a bit sketchy in some areas near the exterior.
Dining
5.0
While the breakfast selection was limited, the staff were working hard to keep things stocked. I would've liked more vegan options, but at least it was decent enough to start my day.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area was nice and relaxing, but some areas outside and in the halls felt like they needed better upkeep. I noticed some cleanliness issues that stuck out during my stay.

My stay at Hotel Tucson City Center was a mix of highs and lows. The hotel offers a lovely lobby and renovated rooms, which felt inviting. However, some areas need improvement, particularly with the older facilities. I encountered a few hiccups, but the staff were incredibly accommodating and made my experience much better.

Rooms

While my initial room felt dated and uninviting with some cleanliness issues, I was lucky to be moved to a freshly renovated room that was well-appointed with thoughtful features like ample USB and electrical outlets.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tucson City Center, highlighted by a chic remodel and an amazing front desk staff member, Alyssa. While I had a frustrating experience at the restaurant, the comfortable rooms and the generous breakfast made up for it. I would definitely return, but I'd probably eat out next time.

Rooms

My room was spacious and cozy, complete with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard. Free high-speed internet was a big plus for my work needs.

Unfortunately, my experience at The Downtown'R was disappointing. They were out of key menu items, and the service felt a bit rushed, even though the staff was friendly.

The pool area was nice but could use some landscaping love. I enjoyed the hot breakfast, though it fell a bit short on variety and quality.

7.0/10

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Tucson City Center. On the upside, the location is prime, close to downtown and various venues, which made it easy to get around. The staff were friendly and accommodating, really going the extra mile for us. However, I encountered some significant issues with the cleanliness and upkeep of my first room, which left a lot to be desired. I was eventually moved to a better room after a couple of days, but that initial experience dampened my stay.

Rooms
5.0
I was initially placed in an unrenovated room that was pretty rough—clogged sink, peeling bathtub, and overall dirty. Thankfully, I was later moved to a renovated room, which was much better.
Service
8.0
The staff, especially Xochitl, were incredibly polite and helpful. They made sure to assist with whatever I needed, and the kindness shown during breakfast was a lovely touch.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, so close to downtown venues and easy access from I-10. It's perfect for events, and I loved that I could walk to so many places.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was affordable at $5, and while the options were simple, the staff made it a pleasant experience. I appreciated the complimentary margs for the pool!
Facilities
6.0
The pool was refreshing, though the water was a bit cloudy, which was concerning. Still, a wrist band system kept it exclusive for guests.
